Job Description: Job Overview TE Connectivity's CL Strategic Sourcing Team develop and implement multi-year strategies for Resins & Chemicals commodities, suppliers and business units to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have three or more years sourcing experience as well as global commodity management experience. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience related to supplier identification and qualification, bidding, evaluating and contracting. This position will have responsibility for developing, executing and maintaining Sourcing commodity strategies and processes within the NA & SA region. What your background should look like: Extensive knowledge of sourcing, strategic sourcing processes, negotiation experience Experience in commodity management, with a preference for resins or chemicals Ability to handle multiple suppliers & business units under challenging conditions Demonstrated experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts Strong data mining and analysis skill-set Proactive, positive communication skills Demonstrated ability to create and execute a vision, as well as an ability to work within larger organizational objectives Self-directed & motivated Capable of independently leading multiple projects simultaneously Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment Possesses excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills Ability to travel and work in a virtual environment Job Requirements Establishing mid-term and long-term strategic commodity plans, developing supplier footprint, and setting up the integrated supply chain to improve sourcing competitiveness. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to maximize global leverage, identify savings opportunities, and develop cost-competitive suppliers. Managing supplier relationships, ensuring the achievement of supplier commitments, and executing strategies based on market and technology trends. Researching the current innovations, trends, and developments in the industry and recommending the best practices and suggestions.
