We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing and provide technical packaging support across these critical product categories.

In this role, you'll lead sourcing activities and provide technical support across assigned product categories, partnering closely with suppliers, customers, Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Quality teams to identify effective packaging solutions, improve supplier performance, and support business growth. This is not a purchasing-focused role. Your hands-on knowledge of primary packaging, especially bottles and closures, along with manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities, will help drive customer success, operational excellence, and profitable growth.

Position Overview

This role leads sourcing activities and provides technical packaging support across assigned product categories, with a strong emphasis on bottles and closures. The focus is supplier identification, qualification, solution development, and customer program support rather than transactional purchasing. The role develops and delivers sourcing strategies that support business growth, cost optimization, supply continuity, and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional partners, the Supply Chain Manager serves as a key technical resource for packaging, supplier capabilities, packaging technologies, manufacturing processes, and market trends. Through strategic supplier engagement, technical packaging expertise, and data-driven decision-making, this role supports customer success while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Success in this role requires strong hands-on knowledge of primary packaging, specifically bottles and closures, supplier manufacturing capabilities, and the ability to translate customer packaging requirements into effective sourcing and technical solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for bottles and closures, and other assigned primary packaging categories to support business objectives, customer requirements, and profitability goals
• Manage supplier relationships, including supplier identification, qualification, development, performance management, and ongoing business reviews
• Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, pricing analyses, and sourcing recommendations for customer opportunities and critical initiatives
• Serve as a technical packaging resource by providing expertise on packaging, supplier capabilities, manufacturing processes, materials, and product solutions
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, service levels, supply agreements, and commercial terms to achieve optimal business outcomes
• Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support customer programs, product launches, and key efforts
• Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain supply continuity and support customer commitments
• Evaluate market conditions, supplier trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to find opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and competitive advantage
• Analyze sourcing, supplier, and supply chain data using ERP, CRM, and reporting tools to support business decisions and performance improvement efforts

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, category management, or packaging-related environments
• Required primary packaging experience, specifically with bottles and closures
• Hands-on experience sourcing and supporting technical solutions for bottles and closures, including knowledge of applicable materials, manufacturing methods, supplier capabilities, and component compatibility
• In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, and sourcing strategies
• Proven experience managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance improvements
• Demonstrated success leading quotation solicitations, supplier assessments, price reviews, and commercial negotiations
• Experience supporting customer-facing packaging programs through strategic sourcing and technical product guidance rather than transactional purchasing
• Ability to prioritize several tasks while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
