**Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Operation manager to drive centralized procurement intake and governance for Meta's robotics program. This role orchestrates end-to-end procurement operations, from supplier onboarding through ongoing procurement management. The position ensures seamless integration between sourcing strategy and engineering requirements, enabling Meta to accelerate Robotics innovation while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and cost optimization goals.The Sourcing and Procurement Operation manager is responsible for centralized intake and governance of all procurement activities supporting Meta's Robotics initiatives. Reporting to Strategic Sourcing leadership, this role ensures smooth supplier onboarding and end-to-end procurement execution-connecting Robotics Engineering needs with sourcing and vendor management. Key responsibilities include routing requests through the correct processes, coordinating contracts upfront, and managing vendor engagement, deliverables, and timelines to support rapid robotics hardware, system, and service iterations and builds. **Required Skills:** Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Operation Manager Responsibilities: 1. Lead centralized procurement intake for all robotics-related purchasing, applying governance and ensuring compliance with intake and approval processes 2. Drive supplier onboarding including NDA execution, third-party assessments, and vendor registration across robotics hardware and component suppliers 3. Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for all parts: from initial supplier on-boarding (intake, correct routing, and transaction management), to driving clear-to-build readiness and inventory management with program managers, leveraging Meta procurement tools and platforms 4. Review, approve, and track invoices 5. follow up on pending items 6. resolve escalations and expedite transactions between engineering, suppliers, and finance 7. Assign, track, and oversee robotic procurement workstreams given to procurement ops DRIs, ensuring timely completion and alignment to sourcing priorities 8. Develop deep, forward-looking insights to anticipate risks early and drive mitigation and preventive actions - while exploring alternative options to secure supply for upcoming builds 9. Drive procurement process improvements across multiple teams and functions 10. Build technical partnerships with cross-functional teams to gain early insights and timely visibility into upcoming needs, ensure proper processes are followed, and engage Strategic Sourcing early in critical business discussions and planning 11. Leverage AI model and tools, collaborating with Buy@ and system teams to create an automated process for longer term 12. Own material management, inventory control and disposition, and drive Clear to Build workstreams 13. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive the supplier selection process (own RFx) and component qualification under strict engineering and commercial best practices 14. Provide commodity technology, cost, and supply insights, applying value engineering and technical cost reduction concepts at both product and category levels 15. Drive supplier and site readiness activities for programs leading to successful builds at required volumes, spanning operational, commercial, and legal domains **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 16. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related discipline 17. 7+ years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing, including direct vendor or hardware purchasing 18. 3+ years' experience in robotics, automation, or technical hardware procurement 19. Experience with hardware supplier due diligence, and purchase-to-pay processes 20. Proficiency with procurement platforms, contract lifecycle management tools, and ERP/MRP transactional systems **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 21. Familiarity with contract manufacturing, global sourcing, and supplier risk assessment 22. Experience balancing rapid innovation with governance and compliance for technical hardware purchases 23. Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in an entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources 24. Proven leadership managing or supporting operational teams 25. Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management 26. Understanding of robotics subsystems, specifications, and manufacturing constraints 27. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies 28. 5+ years' robotics hardware or manufacturing experience 29. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 30.
