Position Summary:

Reporting to the Category Manager, Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for assisting in on-site sourcing leadership for new product design and development.

Essential Responsibilities:

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Engineering Support Serve as the sourcing partner for engineering during new product design and development Engage suppliers early to support DFM/DFA, lead-time alignment, and cost optimization Support design-to-cost initiatives through competitive sourcing and cost analysis Ensure sourcing readiness for prototype, pilot, and production launches

RFQ & Supplier Execution Lead RFQ development, distribution, analysis, and recommendations for NPI and sustaining products Collaborate with suppliers pre-selected as part of broader sourcing strategies Analyze supplier quotes, cost drivers, and commercial terms to support award decisions Support supplier selection decisions in alignment with category strategy

Cost, Pricing & Systems Management Maintain accurate pricing, cost, and supplier data within ERP and sourcing systems Perform price increase / decrease analysis and validate supplier requests Track and analyze cost trends, savings, and pricing performance Support cost roll-ups and BOM costing for new and existing products

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management Support manufacturing readiness by aligning supplier capabilities, capacity, and timelines Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing and NPI processes Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience working with ERP systems and sourcing tools Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a challenging environment Self-directed, meticulous, and comfortable working independently on-site

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting new product development or engineering-driven sourcing Technical understanding of manufactured components, materials, or processes MBA or Master's degree (a plus, not required) Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPP Exposure to cost modeling, should-cost analysis, or value engineering
