Description
Job Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist manages the end-to-end lifecycle of product evaluation, conversion, and implementation across multi-disciplinary teams including clinical staff. This role integrates clinical operations with supply chain, utilizing cost analysis to achieve standardization and fiscal targets, ensures contract compliance, and aligns closely with clinical partners to address patient safety alerts. This position is responsible to achieve and maintain a balance of quality, service, value and availability.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelors Degree Business Management or related field. (preferred)
Work Experience
Minimum three (3) years Strategic sourcing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting (required)
Minimum three (3) years Proven results in previous positions related to project management for Supply Chain Management or healthcare. (required)
Minimum three (3) years GPO contracts, purchasing and vendor product knowledge preferably in the healthcare field. (preferred)
Skills and Abilities
Ability to gain and maintain positive relationships with staff, clinicians, physicians, suppliers, GPO partners and senior leadership.Must have organizational and communication skills to manage independent projects.Analytical skills necessary to develop and execute a variety of financial and operational analyzes.Problem solving skills to manage day to day challenges and develop and execute long term improvement.
Computer Skills Competent in use of Excel, MSWord and ERP and other database programs needed to perform job duties.
