Summary Renovo Solutions – Life Sciences partners with Vertex to provide comprehensive laboratory equipment asset management, service delivery, procurement, and strategic sourcing solutions. The Center of Excellence Specialist – Procurement & Strategic Sourcing is a full-time onsite position responsible for supporting sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, contract optimization, spend management, and procurement activities across laboratory equipment, OEM/ISO service contracts, repairs, parts, and related services. The position serves as a key commercial liaison between Vertex stakeholders, laboratory end users, suppliers, OEMs/ISOs, and Renovo operational teams, with a focus on cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier performance, financial transparency, and operational excellence. What you will do Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations: - Develop and execute sourcing strategies for laboratory equipment, OEM/ISO service contracts, repairs, parts, and related services.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier quotes, pricing, discounts, labor rates, parts, SLAs, warranties, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, competitive bidding, volume leverage, standardization, and alternative sourcing.
- Partner with site sponsors, scientists, end users, and operational leaders to translate business requirements into sourcing strategies.
- Support equipment procurement and supplier negotiations as surge capacity requires.
Spend Management & Savings: - Analyze OEM/ISO contract, repair, parts, T&M, and equipment spend to identify savings and cost-avoidance opportunities.
- Develop negotiation strategies using historical spend, utilization, contract terms, service requirements, and supplier performance.
- Track and report negotiated savings, cost avoidance, spend trends, and sourcing opportunities.
- Provide pricing, contract, and supplier data to support annual and multi-year budgeting and forecasting.
Contract & Supplier Management: - Lead/support annual reviews and negotiations of PM-only, FSWP, standard, premium, and other service-level agreements.
- Maintain supplier, contract, pricing, PO, and equipment data within RenovoLive and applicable procurement systems.
- Monitor supplier performance against cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and contractual SLAs.
- Support supplier scorecards, corrective actions, and strategic supplier reviews.
- Validate invoices against contracts and POs and resolve pricing, scope, and billing discrepancies.
Stakeholder & Operational Partnership: - Serve as a procurement business partner to Vertex sponsors, laboratory stakeholders, Renovo site leaders, and operational teams.
- Provide sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, risk, service level, operational requirements, and total cost of ownership.
- Participate in RAIL meetings, budget reviews, sourcing reviews, supplier meetings.
- Support purchase orders, vendor quotes, work orders, service documentation, T&M tracking, and supplier follow-up as required.
- Use procurement and asset-management data to identify trends, improve supplier accountability, and drive continuous improvement.

- 2+ years of experience in procurement.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Experience working with laboratory equipment.
- Skilled in improving data accuracy, driving compliance, and supporting informed decision-making across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of GxP and data integrity requirements in regulated environments.
