At Siemens our goal is to empower our students to become the next leaders of our company.The primary goal for the IT Local Support intern is to learn how IT operates in a large corporation by taking ownership of customer issues and seeing problems through to resolution as well as researching diagnosing troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues. Key responsibilities include Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues including account setup and network configuration Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem Track computer system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits Talk clients through a series of actions until theyve solved a technical issue Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams e.g. software developers Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers Refer to internal databases or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions Ensure all issues are properly logged Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting Prepare accurate and timely reports Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals Requirements Being an active university student with a graduation date from August 2027 to December 2027 Availability to work Half-time English language - advanced proficiency Hybrid - Mexico City Being an engineering major with interest in IT Good communication skills and ability to work on a customer-facing role Perks Potential for full-time offers after university graduation and completion of the program Competitive Salary Law benefits Medical Insurance Mentorship Individual career development planning Networking with our global leaders Professional and technical workshops Leadership opportunities Energetic student community For more information regarding our Early Career programs and the Strategic Student Program please visit our website Student Programs and Early Careers We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
