The Job
The Department of Public Health is currently recruiting for a Strategy and Business Development Officer who will be responsible for leading the implementation of various department strategic plan initiatives with a primary focus on developing public health workforce, succession planning, improving customer service, development and implementation of new programs, and coordination with internal and external agencies on business operation assessments.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Travel/Drivers License: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree (or higher) in Public Health, Public/Business/Health Administration, Health Science, Social Sciences, or a closely related field of study.
Experience:
Three (3) years of full-time equivalent, professional-level program oversight experience with primary responsibility for strategic and innovative program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation; overseeing complex programs/projects; and/or conducting high-level research and data analytics that have organization-wide impact. Qualifying experience must have been obtained in a Public Health program, community health organization, government agency or closely related agency, of which two (2) years includes full-scope supervision that involved hiring, performance evaluations, and discipline up to and including termination.
