We have an exciting opportunity as we are looking for an Analyst to join our Strategy and Corporate Development team.SUMMARYThe Strategy and Corporate Development Analyst plays a critical role in shaping Westlake's long-term growth and competitive positioning. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to assess strategic opportunities, develop business cases, and drive execution of complex projects, including mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, and transformational initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in business analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead financial and operational modeling and analytics to support strategic decision-makingPrepare M&A due diligence, valuation, structuring, and negotiationsProject management, particularly cross-functions and business integration and coordinationAssess and develop market strategies for entry, exit, expansion for review by decision makersEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in technical degree (engineering, science), business, or accounting. MBA preferred.Typically requires 5+ years of work experience in Corporate Development, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Investment Banking, with transaction and negotiations experience a plus.Strong analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills. Maintains rigorous attention to detail, ensuring precision and reliability. Reviews work thoroughly to ensure accuracy and consistency.Demonstrated ability to prepare executive-level presentations and reports summarizing complex analyses and recommendations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels. Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and tailor messaging to diverse audiences.Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion. Proven ability to drive results in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.Ability to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited or no notice at times. Ability to travel.
