WHO WE ARE

We are Born Social, a social-first creative agency that brings brand building into the social era. We have a track record of delivering transformation for iconic brands like Guinness, Ford, and Barclays, led by our team of social natives and brand experts, underpinned by technology.

Backed by the strength of a brilliant business that's proudly B-Corp certified, we're consistently recognized as one of the best places to work.

We're powered by Croud, a leading performance marketing agency. As agencies, we work closely to help brands bring creative and performance together. As a result, you’ll benefit from being part of the Croud Group, office, and team.

We're looking for our first Strategy Director on the ground in the US to play a key role in our agency's growth. Both leading and delivering pitch work in partnership with our VP of New Business and our Chief Creative Officer. As well as leading highly recognized and award-winning work for our clients. You'll benefit from the support and leadership of our established UK Strategy department, under the wing of our Chief Strategy Officer.

Strategists at Born are those who get their kicks from the thinking over the doing. Those who have a deep understanding of how brands can be built in the social era. Those who actually get excited by a killer deck and pushing the creative work that's built from them. Those who understand how to best present ideas and build relationships with senior client teams. Most importantly, as a leader of this function, you'll push our thinking forward.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Set the standard for innovative research and effective strategies aligned to our client's business goals.

• Driving measurable effectiveness of all work.

• Writing and delivering strong creative briefs that push the standard of our work.

• Partnering with our creative leaders to bring ideas to life.

• Building stories that persuade and manage client rooms as a senior voice

• Establishing strategic long-term client relationships

• Leading in new business pitches, thought leadership, and external marketing initiatives

• As we grow, you'll build and nurture a team to create a high-performance culture that reflects our values, supports development, and enables talent to thrive.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You've got expertise in defining and implementing social-first strategies, leveraging tools and technologies to enhance strategic output, efficiency, and measurable results

• You're a seasoned storyteller, who can build influence and authority swiftly

• You have strong relationship-building skills, particularly with senior clients (e.g., CMOs, Marketing Directors) and cross-agency partners, with the ability to position the agency as a strategic leader

• You're skilled in driving revenue growth and collaborating with client services to expand opportunities, while ensuring accurate resource scoping and commercial success

• You've got leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing, engaged teams by implementing growth plans and ensuring effective resource allocation

• You have strong planning, organisational, and collaborative abilities to support department vision, uphold agency standards, and deliver goals

NO GRIT NO PEARL

No Grit No Pearl is our creative mantra – a single-minded statement of intent that defines how we get to great work and the standard we hold ourselves to. Because we believe the best work isn't formed instantly; it's shaped through commitment, care, and perseverance. Grit isn’t about grind - it’s about staying curious, pushing ideas, and appreciating the process to reach the Pearl - work we’re proud of, created to the highest standard that makes a lasting impact.

VALUES

Our values aim to pinpoint the magic ingredients for us at our best. We look for people who share our values and can add to our culture.

️ See Challenge as Opportunity... is about our attitude and to be very clear, this is not a value of optimism, nor is it about loving every challenge.

️ Say It Simply... is how we communicate. Think of the basic rules of communication - honest, clear, confident.

️ Do What You Say... is the crux of our reputation and longevity. When you join Born Social, our trust is fully given. It is yours to lose.

️ Make Each Other Better... is about our culture of collaboration and commitment to development. We are only as good as the people around us so we all take responsibility for developing each other, as well as ourselves.

️ Consciously Contribute...is bigger than all the others. It ensures we grow right. It broadens our focus beyond Born Social and cements our commitment to doing what’s just, not what’s easy or immediately self-serving.
