In support of a new transformative business model "Originate to Share" our shareholders recently approved a $3.5 billion capitalization. This will allow IDB Invest to significantly scale up its investments, nearly doubling annual financing from approximately $8 billion to $19 billion, and unlocking greater private sector participation to drive development and climate impact across the region.
About this position
We are searching for a Strategy, Programming and Innovation Officer to work under the guidance of the CEO's Advisor.
The Office of the General Manager is responsible for advancing IDB Invest's strategic objectives by maximizing development impact, strengthening our client-centric approach, fostering a high-performing workplace, and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. These efforts are aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness across all aspects of our institution.
In this role, you will support the CEO's Advisor across a broad range of strategic, operational, and innovation-related initiatives.
You will work closely with the CEO's Front Office and collaborate with key stakeholders across IDB Invest and the broader IDB Group to facilitate cross-funtional coordination, strengthen institutional alignment, and maximize operational synergies.

The selected candidate will be responsible for various key activities, including but not limited to the following:
What you'll need
Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, International Relations, International development, Communications, or other relevant fields.
Experience: At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in Strategy, management consulting, corporate planning, governance, executive advisory functions, project management, communications, international development, financial institutions, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience coordinating complex cross-functional initiatives, supporting executive decision-making processes, and engaging with senior stakeholders in multicultural environments. Experience in multilateral development institutions, development finance institutions, international organizations, consulting firms, financial institutions, or the private sector. Knowledge of Latin America and the Caribbean will be considered highly valued.
Requirements

Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, stakeholder management, project management, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to synthesize complex information, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
