Job Description

Strength and conditioning lie at the center of any successful athletic program. The Strength and Conditioning coach will train athletes on proper form and consistency to get faster and stronger while also setting themselves up to prevent injury and develop healthy habits. The Strength and Conditioning Coach will collaborate with Head Coaches to develop programs specific to those sports. The coach will also create and lead a program that develops a culture of belonging, teamwork and community.

Duties:

  • Create, implement, and facilitate a unified program for all athletes grade 6 through 12. This includes out of season athletes, in season athletes and students wishing to solely focus on strength & agility training over participating in team sports.
  • Collaborate with head and assistant coaches to create systems and routines that support their team goals. This collaboration will include coaches/athletes in all sports and the athletics director.
  • Create a maintenance and replacement program for equipment.
  • Build a three-day before school program for students.
  • Build a three-day after school program for students.
  • Create summer programming for students which is credit bearing.
  • The ideal candidate for this position would also have experience with nutrition for student-athletes.
