Requirements:

Design and implement the CMS and CHS Strength & Conditioning Program

Teach student athletes on strength and conditioning principles, including lifting techniques, flexibility, mobility, and recovery.

Develop personalized strength and conditioning programs tailored to the specific needs and goals of student athletes.

Design sport-specific performance programs (strength training agility, power, flexibility, etc.).

Implement warm-up and cool-down routines for student athletes and teams to improve performance and minimize the risk of injury, particularly muscle strains, sprains, and overuse injuries.

Adjust programs based on assessment results and performance feedback.

Monitor and Assess Athlete Progress

Conduct regular fitness and performance assessments (e.g. strength, power, endurance tests) to monitor athlete progress.

Analyze data and make necessary adjustments to training programs.

Track improvements in strength, speed, agility, and other performance metrics.

Work closely with physical therapists, athletic trainers, and medical staff to ensure that student athletes recover from injuries through rehabilitation and return-to-play programs.

Collaborate with head coaches and other staff to ensure training programs align with team and individual goals.

Provide feedback to coaches on how student-student-student athletes are performing in the

weight room and how it affects their sport performance.

Attend coaching meetings and ensure strength and conditioning objectives are communicated

clearly to all involved parties.

Promote a growth mindset, motivate to improve athletic performance, and provide

psychological support to compete under pressure

Oversee the use, maintenance, and management of strength and conditioning equipment.

Maintain detailed records of athletic performance, progress, and any relevant health

information.

Produce reports on the effectiveness of training programs, improvements, and areas that

require attention.

Use performance data to make informed decisions about the training regimen.

Develop an environment that encourages hard work, consistency, and a positive attitude

toward training.

Ensure all strength and conditioning practices comply with relevant health, safety, and sports

regulations.

Enforce safety protocols during strength training sessions to prevent injuries and educate

athletes on proper equipment use, techniques, and form.

Certification Requirements:

Valid Indiana Teacher License preferred

Completed or willingness to acquire nationally recognized certifications, i.e. USAW, CSCS, CPSS

Practical experience working with student-student-student athletes at various levels with strength

training, agility drills, mobility work and programming for diverse needs.

Completed or willingness to acquire Red Cross Standard First Aid course, CPR and AED certification
