We're looking for Aerospace Stress Analysts who determine whether aircraft structures can safely withstand the loads they'll experience in flight. These engineers spend most of their time running FEA models, analyzing stress, fatigue, buckling, and structural performance rather than designing parts. Ideal candidates come from aircraft, defense, UAV, drone, eVTOL, or advanced aerospace programs and have strong FEMAP, NASTRAN, or ANSYS experience.
Day-to-Day Perform structural analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and airframe structures using finite element analysis (FEA) tools. Evaluate metallic and composite aircraft structures for strength, stiffness, fatigue life, buckling, damage tolerance, and durability requirements. Develop and maintain FEM models using tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or similar analysis platforms. Analyze aircraft loads and load paths to ensure structural integrity across various operating conditions. Generate stress reports and engineering documentation to support design reviews, testing, manufacturing, and certification activities. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, systems, integration, and flight test teams to resolve structural issues and improve product performance. Support prototype builds and manufacturing activities by investigating structural concerns, failures, or non-conformances. Conduct trade studies to optimize aircraft structures for weight, manufacturability, performance, and reliability. Participate in technical reviews and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and safety standards.

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 5+ years of aerospace structural analysis, stress analysis, or aircraft structures engineering experience. Hands-on experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) within aerospace or aircraft environments. Proficiency with FEMAP, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or comparable structural analysis tools. Strong understanding of: Static stress analysis Fatigue and damage tolerance Buckling analysis Load path analysis Structural mechanics Aircraft loads Experience supporting metallic and/or composite aircraft structures. Ability to perform and validate engineering hand calculations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work onsite in a highly collaborative engineering environment. Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
