More than 500 customers now call a Noovo home, and the company is scaling production across its Noovo Lite, Plus, Pop, and Next platforms.POSITION SUMMARYThe Structural & CNC Engineer is responsible for the design, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement of all structural, cabinetry, furniture, and CNC‑manufactured components across Noovo's camper van portfolio. This role owns the engineering of vehicle interior structures, cabinetry systems, furniture assemblies, mounting systems, wall and floor assemblies, and CNC manufacturing programs, ensuring all structural components meet requirements for durability, safety, aesthetics, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost.The Structural & CNC Engineer serves as the technical owner of all structural and CNC‑manufactured systems throughout the product lifecycle.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStructural System OwnershipOwn the design and engineering of cabinetry systems, furniture assemblies, bed systems, storage systems, wall assemblies, floor assemblies, structural mounting systems, and interior support structures.Ensure products meet durability, weight, safety, and quality requirements.Evaluate materials, hardware, and fastening methods.Create and maintain CNC manufacturing files and programs.Develop efficient nesting strategies and machining processes.Optimize material utilization and manufacturing efficiency.Establish CNC standards, templates, and best practices.Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies.Product DevelopmentDevelop structural concepts for new products and platforms.Support prototype builds and validation activities.Participate in design reviews and engineering validation.Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, manufacturing guides, product specifications, CNC programs, and installation procedures.Manufacturing SupportSupport production troubleshooting and issue resolution.Improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.Reduce material waste and labor content.Train manufacturing teams on assembly methods and best practices.Service & Quality SupportInvestigate structural failures and warranty issues.Conduct root‑cause analysis.Develop corrective and preventive actions.Improve durability and long‑term product performance.Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with Product Management on new product development.Support Purchasing with material and supplier evaluations.Collaborate with Manufacturing on process improvements.Support Marketing with technical product specifications and feature documentation.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or a related field.3–7+ years of experience in structural design, cabinetry engineering, or CNC manufacturing.Strong CAD modeling and drawing experience.Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of wood products, composites, aluminum structures, and fastening systems.Strong problem‑solving and project management skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in RV, camper van, furniture, marine, or specialty vehicle manufacturing.Familiarity with lightweighting and weight optimization for vehicle interiors.Experience with nesting software and CNC routers in a production environment.SUCCESS METRICSProduct durability and structural performance.Manufacturing efficiency improvements.Material utilization and waste reduction.Documentation accuracy and completeness.Reduction in structural warranty claims.Successful execution of product launches.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe base salary range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
