Overview
Seeking a Structural Design Engineer to support the design of steel racking systems used in industrial and warehouse environments. This role focuses on developing safe, accurate, and cost-effective structural solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams to execute projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design steel racking systems including Tuberacks, Drive-In, Cantilever, Pushback, and Pallet Flow
- Develop structural designs that meet project requirements, codes, and safety standards
- Perform structural analysis using industry software for frames, beams, bracing, mezzanines, and platforms
- Review and check structural drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Partner with Project Managers and Design teams to align on project scope and timelines
- Communicate engineering requirements clearly across teams
- Contribute to design improvements and support ongoing engineering development
- Follow and support all safety policies, procedures, and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam prior to hire
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Focus or coursework in structural engineering
- Basic understanding of building construction methods
- Familiarity with current building codes and industry standards
- Exposure to steel racking or rack-supported structures
