Structural Design Technician

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Location: Cincinnati, OH

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Cincinnati, OH. This position will support structural engineering and design teams in the development of drawings and 3D models for industrial and light manufacturing facility projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong structural drafting/design background with experience using Revit and working with traditional steel and concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural 3D modeling utilizing Revit.

• Assist with the development and preparation of contract drawings and construction documents.

• Develop and modify structural drawings for steel and concrete structures.

• Coordinate structural designs and models with engineering and other design disciplines.

• Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

• Utilize Navisworks and Bluebeam to support design coordination and drawing reviews.

• Maintain effective communication with department members, engineers, project teams, and management.

• Support project teams in resolving design and drafting issues throughout project development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum 5 years of structural drafting/design experience.

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on Revit experience.

• Experience designing and drafting traditional steel and concrete structures.

• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.

• Light manufacturing facility design experience preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to effectively coordinate with engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
