ACIBuilds.com Position OverviewWe are seeking a Structural Designer with experience in modular building design and structural detailing to joinour engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Revit, structural modeling, and fabricationdrawings, with the ability to take structural designs from concept through fabrication while coordinating closely withengineering, fabrication, and project teams.Key Responsibilities• Develop and maintain 3D structural models for modular and prefabricated buildings using Revit.• Create structural layouts, framing plans, sections, details, and fabrication drawings.• Coordinate structural components with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.• Develop detailed structural drawings suitable for shop fabrication and field installation.• Coordinate structural connections, steel framing, supports, embeds, lifting points, and other fabricationrequirements.• Review structural models and drawings for accuracy, constructability, and coordination.• Work closely with structural engineers to incorporate design requirements and engineering changes.• Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect manufacturing and assemblyrequirements.Identify and resolve design conflicts before fabrication.• Assist with material takeoffs and structural BOMs.• Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and project kickoffs.• Maintain project schedules and meet established engineering and fabrication deadlines.• Revise drawings and models based on engineering, client, fabrication, and field feedback.Required Qualifications• Experience designing or detailing structural modular, prefabricated, or steel buildings.• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and 3D structural modeling.• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications.• Experience creating fabrication/shop drawings and structural details.• Understanding of steel framing, structural connections, supports, and fabrication methods.• Ability to coordinate structural designs with MEP and architectural disciplines.• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design conflicts.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.• Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications• Experience with modular buildings, control buildings, MCC buildings, data centers, or other prefabricatedstructures.• Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, BIM 360/ACC, or similar software.• Experience coordinating directly with structural engineers, fabricators, welders, and production teams.• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and construction processes.• Experience developing Revit families and maintaining structural model standards.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who can take a structural concept and develop it into a coordinated 3D Revitmodel and fabrication-ready drawing package.
