Structural Designer SR #26-22128

Job Description:

• The SR Structural Designer 1 position requires 10+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience.

 Responsibilities:

• Job responsibilities include producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork.
• Preparing layouts and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings.
• Preparing material takeoffs and assist with cost estimates, coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors.
• Performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability.

 Skillsets and Expertise:

• Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficient using AutoCAD, 3D modeling experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft/Bentley and/or Advanced steel structural software is preferred
• Steel/concrete detailing background is a plus.
• Must be able to produce clear, concise drawing notes, able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
