Structural Drafter

What You'll Do

Develop accurate 2D structural drawings and construction documents for single-family residential projects using AutoCAD. Collaborate with engineers and architects to create, revise, and maintain structural plans and details.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop foundation, framing, wall bracing, and structural details from architectural plans and markups.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Maintain accurate and organized drawing files and documentation.
• Follow established standards, processes, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers and architectural staff to resolve design and drafting issues.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Opportunity to develop additional skills in residential structural engineering.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of structural or architectural drafting experience using AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of structural components and building construction.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

• Associate degree or technical/vocational certification.
• Residential wood-frame construction experience.
• Interest in developing residential structural engineering skills.
