Location: Superior, Wisconsin, or St. Paul, MinnesotaReports to: Structural Engineering ManagerAre you a structural engineer with design experience who is seeking an opportunity to use your strengths and support various projects while further developing your engineering skills?AMI Consulting Engineers, PA, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer with 1-3 years' experience to join our team! The ideal candidate will support the design, analysis, and inspection of structural systems for buildings, bridges, marine structures, and other infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to projects from concept to construction.Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with impeccable follow-through, and take ownership of each assigned project. The successful candidate must have experience in serving the engineering needs of clients by providing exceptional professional service. They should be passionate about their work, enjoy variety, and like problem-solving. This candidate should also be team-oriented, honest, and have a helpful disposition with a positive, can-do attitude. Travel and field work may be required to complete projects.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyze structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance and regulations.Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers, and architects.Prepare documents, detailed calculations and specifications for structural systems within established schedule and budgetWork closely with current and prospective customersPerform construction site visits and field observations.Collect field data, perform research and analysis, and preparation of field reportsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural from an ABET accredited program.Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.1-3 years related experience in design of structural systems such as concrete, masonry, steel, wood, cold formed steel, precast concrete, etc.Excellent project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong mathematical skills for calculations related to load analysis and structural design.Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or other CAD software for drafting purposes.Passion for structural engineering innovation and design.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to success.Strong written and verbal communication skillsValid Driver's License, as travel may be required to complete projectsCompensationThe wage and benefits package are dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
