Our client is an established engineering consulting organization serving transportation agencies, municipalities, and infrastructure owners throughout the Midwest. Their structural practice focuses on the planning, analysis, design, inspection, and rehabilitation of transportation-related structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other critical infrastructure assets. With a growing backlog of transportation projects, the firm is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer who can provide technical leadership, manage project delivery, mentor staff, and support future expansion efforts throughout Illinois and surrounding markets.

Job Details

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred
8–15+ years of bridge engineering and transportation structure design experience
Strong experience with IDOT bridge projects and Illinois transportation standards
Proficiency designing steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and related bridge structures
Experience with bridge inspections, rehabilitation projects, culverts, retaining walls, and transportation infrastructure
Working knowledge of MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, Bentley platforms, or similar bridge design software
Proven project management, technical leadership, and client coordination capabilities
