Canton, Ohio area Manufacturing Firm seeks a Civil / Structural Design Engineer who has experience planning out and formulating design structures to support High Voltage Power Transmission Lines.

Canton, Ohio area Manufacturing Firm seeks a Civil / Structural Design Engineer who has experience planning out and formulating design structures to support High Voltage Power Transmission Lines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related experience.
- A minimum of (3) years of experience designing steel pole structures for electrical transmission, substation and power distribution.
- Familiar with safety codes, utility standards, and regulations to include the
- following:(NESC, ASCE, IEEE, AASHTO, AWS, ASTM).
- Must be proficient with PLS Pole and AutoCAD software.
- Experience with heavy structural fabrication and tower structures.
- Able to provide structural analysis, calculations and make design recommendations.
- Previous experience designing high voltage (69 kV to 500 kV) transmission lines using PLS-pole software.
- Proficient with AutoCAD to create comprehensive drawing packages within the utility infrastructure industry for transmission line systems.
- Perform computer modeling and sizing of structures and transmission line components, instructions and notes.
- Review structural designs with the engineering team and mentor junior level engineers and designers.
- Work with customers to gain clarification and technical decisions where necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
