Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer for a growing engineering consulting organization supporting large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects. This opportunity offers exposure to complex facility design work, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term career growth within a highly technical environment.
Job Duties:
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems
- Develop engineering calculations, technical documentation, and construction packages
- Coordinate with drafting and design teams to support drawing and model development
- Participate in project planning, design reviews, and construction support activities
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders
- Conduct occasional site visits, field observations, and assist with issue resolution
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and execution activities on smaller project scopes
- Ensure designs meet applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
- Experience supporting structural engineering projects within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Proficiency with structural analysis/design software such as STAAD, RISA, RAM, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation design principles
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative engineering teams
