Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

• Design the structural components of residential wood structures (and masonry structures in FL).  
• Produce repair details and letters.  
• Seal structural plans, details, and repairs as needed.  
• Collaborate with architectural staff and other client departments (i.e. TIS, Purchasing, Operations, etc.).  
• Perform engineering calculations.  
• Coordinate structural plans with truss layouts.  
• Conduct site visits and meet with building officials.  
• Conduct code research.

Required qualifications for the position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering.  
• PE License preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.  
• Advanced knowledge of residential wood, concrete, and CMU design and construction.  
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, applicable building codes, and design principles.  
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

Preferred Qualifications for the Position Include:

• Ability to follow established procedures.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay Rate Range: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
