Structural Engineer, PE

Robert and Company has an opening for a Structural Engineer, PE to join our team located in our Atlanta GA office. We provide complete architectural and engineering (A/E) services for clients in the municipal, military, corporate, and aviation segments. The Structural Engineer will work with Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Fire Protection, Planning and Landscaping CAD teams delivering design consulting and project management services. Position requires some overnight travel.

Qualifications:\n

·       5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a consulting environment

\n

·       Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program

\n

·       Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia, or the ability to obtain licensure in Georgia, with primary practice being in Structural Engineering (SE Preferred)

\n

·       Strong background of engineering calculations

\n

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

\n

·       Experience in handling Structural projects independently or with minimum supervision

\n

·       Experience in structural design/detailing of structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, masonry and timber buildings/structures

\n

·       Experience with IBS, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes/standards

\n

·       Proficient with AutoCAD, Bentley STAAD Pro and Microsoft Office products

\n

\n

·       Micro Station and DOD Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)

\n
