Build Infrastructure That Makes a Lasting Impact

Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking to grow your career with a collaborative and expanding engineering firm? We are seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) to join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team in the Greater New Orleans area.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly skilled, collaborative firm that delivers innovative engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, municipal, and public infrastructure projects. Unlike larger organizations where engineers are often limited to one specialty or phase of a project, this role offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the entire project lifecycle, engage directly with clients, and play an active role in helping build long-term client relationships while supporting the firm's continued growth.

If you're looking to move beyond a highly specialized role and join a collaborative team where you'll gain broad project exposure, work directly with clients, continue growing as an engineer, and contribute to the long-term success of a growing firm, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building a rewarding career.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise is valued, your professional growth is encouraged, and your contributions truly make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform structural analysis, engineering calculations, and design for commercial, industrial, municipal, and public infrastructure projects.
  • Design structural systems including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, foundations, and framing systems.
  • Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, engineering reports, technical documents, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct structural assessments, field investigations, and existing-condition evaluations.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals while providing technical support during construction.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop safe, practical, and cost-effective structural solutions.
  • Participate in project planning, client meetings, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout all phases of project delivery while building trusted relationships with clients and project partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, community stakeholders, public agencies, and industry partners to support successful project delivery and long-term partnerships.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including networking, client outreach, proposal development, presentations, and strategic pursuit efforts that contribute to the continued growth and success of the organization.
  • Mentor and collaborate with team members while contributing to the continued growth of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Five to seven years of structural engineering experience.
  • Experience designing structural systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, applicable building codes, construction methods, and structural design standards.
  • Proficiency with STAAD, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using engineering or project management software is preferred. Training will be provided on the company's internal systems.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Join a growing engineering firm where your contributions have a direct impact on projects and the organization's continued success.
  • Become part of a highly skilled, collaborative team that values mentorship, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Work on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, municipal, and public infrastructure projects throughout the Gulf South.
  • Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through construction support and client interaction.
  • Expand your knowledge through cross-training opportunities and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and play an active role in business development and project success.
  • Develop not only your technical expertise but also your client relationships and business development skills, creating a well-rounded path for long-term career growth.
  • Enjoy the advantages of a smaller firm where your ideas are heard, your work is recognized, and your career growth is supported.
