    Description

    Oxford Solutions has a direct hire opportunity with our client for a Structural Engineer.

    In this role you will provide civil-structural engineering and technical expertise and supervision to a transmission substation engineering and design team.
     

    Responsibilities

    • Design structures for power substations
    • Create and present structural overviews for upcoming projects, and develop reports that include technical details for engineers as well as big-picture analysis and cost estimates for project managers and senior executives
    • Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influence
    • Follow construction safety guidelines
    • Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications
    • Prepare and allocate budgets
    • Track and report on project progress
    • Collaborate with contractors and project managers 

    Requirements

     
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural engineering.
    • 5 to 7 year of structural engineering experience in electrical power systems industry 
    • PE license required
    • Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations
    • AutoCAD experience 
    • Analytical and reasoning ability, math skills, and good judgment for critical operating decisions.
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Ability to cooperate and interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
