We're a growing structural engineering firm in Nyack, serving clients throughout the New York metropolitan area. Our work spans commercial, residential, healthcare, cultural, institutional, and tenant-improvement projects, including new construction, renovations, and rehabilitation. Existing-building work brings opportunities to investigate conditions, solve complex problems, and put your engineering judgment to work.

What You'll Lead

  • Projects from proposal through construction: lead design, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Structural design: design in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood for new construction and alterations.
  • Existing-building investigations: assess conditions, identify deficiencies, and perform load ratings and rehabilitation studies.
  • Clear, practical reporting: prepare engineering reports that help clients, architects, and building departments act on your findings.
  • Client and project coordination: represent the firm at meetings and site visits, coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors.
  • Mentorship and technical review: guide junior engineers and review calculations and drawings.
  • Project delivery: manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with NYC and NYS building codes and applicable standards.
  • Active New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience in buildings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Design experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Strong working knowledge of NYC and NYS building codes.
  • Experience managing clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
