    Job Description

Do you enjoy leading teams as much as you enjoy engineering? Do you have experience designing mid- and high-rise residential buildings? Are you ready to own a project from design to completion? We are looking for a Project Manager to collaborate remotely with our client, a structural engineering consulting firm based in Florida. You should be available to work during Eastern Time (ET) for this full-time opportunity. Apply today!

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

    What you’ll do:

    • Lead structural design and analysis for mid- and high-rise residential projects, including gravity and lateral systems and foundations, in concrete, steel, or timber depending on the project.

    • Own each project’s technical delivery end-to-end, ensuring the full set of construction documents is accurate, coordinated, and ready for the contractor.

    • Manage and mentor a team of engineers on larger projects: distribute tasks, review their work, and ensure quality control (QC) across the team’s output.

    • Act as the external-facing point of contact for structural matters, running and participating in coordination meetings with architects, MEP engineers, and civil engineers.

    • Balance hands-on technical work (modeling, design, QC) with the oversight needed to keep your team moving and unblocked.

    • Support proposal assembly and client coordination as needed.

    What you must have:

    • 9+ years of proven experience in structural engineering, including exposure to U.S. building codes and residential (multifamily) mid- and high-rise projects.

    • A genuine interest in and aptitude for leading people — this is a management role as much as an engineering one, not a purely technical, task-based position.

    • Client-facing experience: comfort running or actively participating in coordination meetings with architecture, MEP, and civil engineering teams.

    • Proficiency in Revit, RAM, and ETABS.

    • Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or timber construction.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

    A great plus:

    • Knowledge of CONCEPT, particularly for post-tension concrete projects.

    • Prior experience training or supervising junior and mid-level engineers.

    • Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design through Construction Administration (CA).

We’ve got the opportunity, you’ve got the talent. We want to hear from you! Apply now.
