Johnson Service Group is recruiting for aStructural Design Engineer
Location: Rohnert Park, CA (94928)
Responsible for developing and analyzing structural systems for buildings and other projects, collaborating closely with engineers, drafters, and architects to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative design solutions from concept through construction.

Responsible for developing and analyzing structural systems for buildings and other projects, collaborating closely with engineers, drafters, and architects to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative design solutions from concept through construction.
Role Requirements
- Experience working with a structural engineering firm (7-10 years preferred)
- Experience with engineering programs such as ETABS & ADAPT as well as AutoCAD is desirable.
- SE or PE licensing
- Design structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other structures using CAD software.
- Analyze plans to determine structural design requirements, materials, codes, and safety regulations.
- Calculate loads, stresses, and forces to design safe and stable structures.
- Create detailed drawings and specs for construction.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate structural design with other systems.
- Evaluate and plan repairs or retrofits for existing structures to ensure safety.
- Attend site visits and meetings with clients and contractors to discuss design plans and construction progress.
- Simulate structural behavior with software and adjust designs as needed.
- Work with project managers to develop and meet timelines and budgets.
- Stay updated on structural design advances and incorporate new techniques.
