Position Summary<\/span>
<\/h2>

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis, design, inspections, restoration engineering, and construction administration for a variety of building projects. This role independently manages projects while supporting clients, contractors, and project teams throughout all phases of project delivery.<\/span>
<\/p>

The ideal candidate is experienced in existing building evaluations, restoration projects, milestone inspections, and structural design, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.<\/span>
<\/p>

Technical Qualifications<\/span>
<\/h2>
  • Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code (FBC), ASCE, ACI, and AISC standards<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience using structural analysis and design software including RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, ADAPT, and Revit<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Familiarity with MasterFormat specification writing<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and reporting skills<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience preparing structural calculations and construction documents<\/span>
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Key Responsibilities<\/span>

    • Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing building projects<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Conduct structural assessments, condition surveys, and building evaluations<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Participate in Phase 1 and Phase 2 Milestone Inspections<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Develop structural repair and restoration recommendations<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Support building restoration and rehabilitation projects<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Perform construction administration activities, including:<\/span>
      • Shop drawing reviews<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Submittal reviews<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Requests for Information (RFIs)<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Site observations and reporting<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Contractor coordination<\/span>
        <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Conduct forensic investigations related to structural failures, water intrusion, and construction defects<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and consultants<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and schedule commitments<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Mentor junior engineers and engineering interns as needed<\/span>

          Education & Experience<\/span>

          • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • 7+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building structures<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • 2–4 years of building restoration and/or forensic engineering experience<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Experience with Phase 1 and Phase 2 Milestone Inspections preferred<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Experience working on existing building rehabilitation and repair projects<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li><\/ul>
