Overview A well-established design, engineering, and construction firm with nearly 150 years of history is seeking a Manager of Structural Engineering for their Irvine, CA office. This is a leadership role with direct impact on department direction, staffing, and project delivery across a diverse portfolio of clients and sectors.Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage all structural engineering activities for the departmentProduce working drawings and specifications for projects within the officeAssist other engineering managers at additional office locations as neededCollaborate with the Director of Engineering on long-range planning and department objectivesEnsure structural engineering services meet professional standards, client requirements, and company objectivesProvide quality oversight and senior technical leadership on complex projectsInterface with Project Managers to determine staffing needsParticipate in proposal presentations and business development activitiesMentor, recruit, and develop engineering staffProject Types Candidates should have experience delivering structural engineering on projects such as:Industrial and manufacturing facilitiesGovernment and federal buildingsEducation facilities (DSA)Aviation and aerospace facilitiesCommercial and corporate buildingsCorrections and justice facilitiesCandidates with backgrounds exclusively in transit/rail, offshore/renewable energy, oil/gas refinery, or telecom infrastructure are not a match for this role.Requirements 4-year civil or structural engineering degree16+ years of structural engineering experience in building and facility designProfessional Engineer (PE) license required -- California preferredProficiency in structural engineering design softwareStrong communication and leadership skillsExperience managing or mentoring a team of engineers#J-18808-Ljbffr
