A day in the life

At our premier Louisville, KY fabrication shop, you guide a team that safeguards quality across heavy structural builds. Your morning starts on the floor—walking lines, checking welds, and verifying measurements. Midday, you huddle with production to fine-tune processes. By afternoon, you’re distilling inspection data into clear insights for leadership and resolving any issues that could slow delivery.

Your impact

• Lead and coach the quality control team to align with company standards and applicable industry regulations.
• Execute routine inspections and formal audits on fabrication processes and completed components.
• Create, refine, and roll out QC procedures that elevate efficiency and repeatability.
• Partner with production to pinpoint improvements and train teams on quality expectations.
• Interpret quality metrics and compile reports that drive decisions and corrective actions.
• Quickly contain and resolve quality nonconformances to protect schedules and output.
• Track evolving best practices in QC and fabrication to keep our shop ahead of the curve.

What you bring

• Background in quality control/assurance or lead welding within a fabrication environment.
• Proven leadership with the ability to direct, mentor, and develop teams.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related measurement gauges.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to world-class standards.
