    Description

Are you the technician who makes every millimeter count?

Picture this: you open a set of structural shop drawings, confirm the latest revision, and map the sequence that gets raw steel to a precise assembly. You verify heat numbers, align piece marks, and commit to quality before a single tack is placed. That’s the standard we’re after.

    Your mission

    • Turn 2D drawings into accurate steel assemblies by planning and executing the right order of operations.
    • Decode weld symbols and industry acronyms; confirm part orientation and finish codes.
    • Measure and lay out with tapes, squares, levels, and layout tools; mark clearly and consistently.
    • Tack weld with control; perform thermal cutting by oxy-fuel and/or plasma; grind to exact finish.
    • Keep the cell organized and safe while operating overhead cranes, welders, torches, and grinders.
    • Fabricate to AISC Quality Management System standards; self-inspect before QC steps in.
    • Escalate drawing or material discrepancies as soon as they appear.
