Location: Bakersfield, CA
Wage: $24.00–$30.00 per hour (DOE)
Shift Differential: +$2.00 per hour for 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Structural Fitters to perform layout, fitting, and assembly of structural steel components. This role requires strong fitting and welding skills to fabricate steel structures according to shop drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities- Layout and fit steel sub-assemblies, beams, columns, trusses, and other structural members
- Assemble completed structures or structural frameworks per shop drawings and specifications
- Perform structural welding duties as needed
- Operate welding and fitting equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform repairs and adjustments as required
Qualifications- Current welding certification (AWS preferred)
- Experience in structural fitting and welding
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings
- Ability to pass welding and fitting tests
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and write in English
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently
- Ability to pass physical examination and drug test
- Ability to pass welding and fitting tests
Work Schedule- Monday–Friday
- Standard shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (hours may vary)
- Hiring for swing shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (+$2/hr premium)
