Smart Structures a Smart Infra structure group company is seeking an Project Engineer to oversee the development, quality assurance, and field deployment of embedded monitoring solutions used to track the structural health of concrete piles, bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, and other critical infrastructure. This role blends hands-on product troubleshooting, vendor and supply chain management, IT/workstation operations, and field installation support — serving as the operational backbone between engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and customers.
Smart Infrastructure Group builds the embedded sensor technology that keeps bridges, dams, high-rises, and other critical infrastructure safe. We're looking for a hands-on Structural Health Monitoring Field Engineer to take ownership of our wireless Embedded Data Collection (EDC) systems — from board assembly through field deployment.
This isn't a desk job. You'll be building and troubleshooting PCB-based sensor hardware one day, negotiating with vendors the next, and out at a construction site installing gauges into concrete structures the day after. What you'll do:
Develop and improve wireless embedded sensor (EDC) solutions for structural monitoring
Assemble, troubleshoot, and rework PCBs and embedded sensor units
Manage vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and quality corrective actions
Travel to job sites to install and support field hardware
Lead a small team, including performance reviews and daily oversight

What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years in operations, product development, or field engineering — IoT/sensor hardware background a big plus
Comfort with embedded systems, PCB assembly, and hands-on troubleshooting
Willingness to travel to active construction/infrastructure sites
