POSITION SUMMARY Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and composites industry, is seeking a talented Structural Integration Technician to perform precision drilling, adhesive bonding, fastener installation, and trimming on composite, plywood, and metallic airframe structures. This position directly interfaces with Customer, Manufacturing, Engineering, Flight Test and UAS Flight Operations Staff. The growing Madison, AL-based small business is seeking innovative individuals who want to join an up tempo, maker culture that proudly provides products and services to support the American Warfighter! REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE High School GraduateAbility to lift 35 lbs often and work standing up for a full 8hr shiftGeneral use of hand tools and measurement devices including drills, rivet guns, trim saws, deburring tools, calipers, and drill templates/jigsAbility to work to engineering drawings and detailed work instructionsAbility to perform precision drilling, countersinking, and hole preparation on composite, plywood, and metallic structures to drawing tolerancesAbility to prepare surfaces for and apply structural adhesive bondsAbility to install structural fasteners (rivets, blind fasteners, threaded inserts) to torque and spacing specificationsAbility to trim composite and plywood parts, edges, and bond lines to net dimensions DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Experience with aerospace composite structures (fiberglass, carbon fiber, plywood), structural fasteners, and adhesive bond preparation and bonding processesExperience working from a traveler/router or MES/ERP work order systemPrior UAS, aerospace, or defense manufacturing experience JOB LOCATION Madison, Alabama, United States POSITION TYPE Full-Time/Regular COMPENSATION/BENEFITS Competitive Salary/Comprehensive Benefits Package  US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDYes ABILITY TO OBTAIN SECURITY CLEARANCE Yes
