We’re hiring a Structural MIG Welding Technician for 1st and 2nd shift. If you thrive on reading metric prints with GD&T and laying down clean, consistent welds, read on.
Does this sound like you?
Can you interpret fabrication drawings (metric) with GD&T and plan an efficient weld sequence?
Are you confident welding in multiple positions to AWS standards?
Do you switch seamlessly between MIG welding, grinding, flame cutting, and arc gouging?
Are you comfortable setting up fixtures, tacking parts, and using cutting torches and carbon arc tools?
Can you operate a robotic welding cell and complete safety/equipment checks (torch condition, straightness, harness inspection, etc.)?
Do you prioritize to hit production schedules and help move materials between fabrication and paint?
Are you diligent with documentation—labor hours, work orders, and production records?
Will you flag fabrication issues early, document them, and recommend fixes?
Can you contribute in a team environment and still perform with limited supervision?
What you’ll need
Welding experience or completion/in-progress status in a certified welding trade school or technical program.
Proficiency reading and interpreting fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings.
Strong dedication to safety, quality, and workmanship standards.
Bonus points
Experience in heavy equipment or crane manufacturing.
Hands-on familiarity with shop hand tools: grinders, chisels, tip cleaners, etc.
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists safely.
Lift up to 35 lbs frequently.
Work at heights; climb ladders, equipment, and lifts.
Stand for 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks.
Temperature changes throughout the work area.
Exposure to magnets that may affect medical devices.
Kneel, squat, crawl; work in tight or awkward positions.
Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and rotating movements.
Fine motor work using various hand and power tools.
PPE you must wear
Hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed/metatarsal footwear, and full welding protective equipment including jackets, chaps, helmet, grinding shield, and related gear.
