By mid-morning, you’re coordinating with clients, fabricators, erectors, and internal teams to confirm scope, align sequencing, and allocate resources. After lunch, you’re on-site, walking the work, validating safety practices, and checking that fabrication and erection meet spec. Late afternoon, you resolve issues, approve change orders, and adjust plans to keep timelines and budgets intact. Before you sign off, stakeholders receive a concise update with milestones, risks, and next steps.
What you’ll own
- End-to-end leadership of multiple structural steel projects, from kickoff to closeout, on time and within budget.
- Creation and maintenance of project plans: scope definition, schedules, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Active coordination with clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Ongoing progress tracking, performance analysis, and course-correcting to maintain momentum.
- Regular site visits to verify quality control and reinforce construction safety standards.
- Clear, timely reporting: presentations, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
- Complete documentation management, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Team leadership focused on collaboration, mentoring junior staff, and promoting best practices.
