Structural Steel Project Manager

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Structural Steel Project Manager for a direct hire, onsite opportunity.

The Project Manager will oversee assigned structural steel projects, including planning, coordination, technical review, scheduling, and project documentation. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes, engineering standards, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned structural steel projects from planning through completion
• Coordinate engineering activities with internal teams, clients, contractors, fabricators, and other project stakeholders
• Review drawings, specifications, technical reports, calculations, submittals, and RFIs
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and resource needs
• Identify project risks, delays, or technical issues and help resolve them
• Ensure project work complies with applicable codes, standards, and accepted engineering practices
• Communicate project status, updates, and key issues to leadership and project teams
• Provide technical guidance and support to assigned team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• 10 years or more of experience in an engineering project management role
• Experience preparing technical reports, calculation packages, plans, and specifications
• Experience with structural steel projects and technical project coordination
• Effective communicator with experience managing others and coordinating multiple project stakeholders
