Structural Steel Welder

The Tarrier Steel Company has been in operation for over 100 years as a structural steel fabricator in Columbus, OH. We fabricate the steel that builds America, and we're looking for a welder who wants to be part of that legacy.

Shifts: 40 hours + 9 hours overtime per week is typical

• 1st Shift: 5:30am – 4:00pm, Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm Friday
• 2nd Shift: 4:00pm – 2:30am, Monday–Thursday, 1:30am Friday

What You'll Do

• Read shop drawings and weld symbols
• Perform flux-cored arc welding of structural steel plates, angles, beams, channels and HSS
• Thermal cut, back-gouge, and grind as needed
• Keep a clean, organized, safe work area
• Safely operate overhead cranes, welders, torches, and grinders
• Check your own work and fix issues before QC inspection
• Flag drawing or material problems to your supervisor

Good to Know

• This is a shop job: you'll be on your feet welding beams and columns
• Tarrier Steel is a drug-free workplace. Candidates must pass a pre-hire drug screen before starting
