Job Summary

We’re hiring a Skid Welder to join our fabrication team. You’ll weld and assemble steel skid structures used in oilfield and industrial applications. This role is ideal for someone who values precision, teamwork, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel using MIG and Flux Core processes
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Fit, tack, and assemble skid frames to specification
• Operate grinders, torches, and fabrication tools safely
• Inspect welds for quality and compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards
• Follow Petrosmith’s safety protocols including PPE, hot work procedures, and hazard reporting
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding experience in fabrication or industrial settings
• Proficient in MIG and Flux Core welding (Stick welding a plus)
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions
• Forklift or overhead crane experience preferred
• Welding certification a plus
