Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Welders for projects located in or around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Multipass. All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: • SMAW Shielded Metal Arc Welding • GMAW Gas Metal Arc Welding • FCAW Flux Cored Arc Welding • GMAWP Pulse Arc Welding Using Oxygen/Propane heating torch Air Carbon Arc Gouging Use fillet and butt weld gauges
Requirements: • OSHA 10; may be provided to qualified candidates • 4+ year NNS or Naval shipyard experience • Must pass various weld test • Experience working in a physically demanding environment, shipboard sub-assemblies, ladders, staging, etc.
