MIG Welder / Fabricator
Join a Growing Team and Build Custom Fabricated Products

Are you an experienced welder who enjoys fabrication, repair work, and building quality products? We're looking for a skilled MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our team and help manufacture and repair custom bin components in a clean, modern facility.
This is a hands-on role where you'll perform a variety of fabrication and welding tasks, work from blueprints, and contribute directly to the quality of our finished products. You'll work alongside a small, collaborative team with opportunities to showcase your skills and grow into future leadership positions.
What You'll Do
  • Fabricate, repair, and modify brackets, supports, and other bin components using MIG welding techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Measure, fit, and assemble components to required specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform repair work on existing components and finished products as needed.
  • Safely operate forklifts to move materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Use measuring tools and fabrication equipment to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience with weld repair and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • TIG welding experience.
  • Experience welding stainless steel.
  • Mechanical assembly or fabrication experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment.
  • Forklift certification.

Work Environment

This position is based in a modern warehouse and fabrication facility. Team members regularly work with welding equipment, fabrication tools, forklifts, and metal components.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
