Position Summary
Plan, lay-out, weld, install, and repair all types of structural steel products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards.
Experience Level

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform welding on various materials at required position using different welding processes, including, but not limited to, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and SAW.
- Lay out, position, fit and weld various structural components, including flanges, piping supports, structural plates, beams, etc., in accordance with the supplied piping/structural fabrication drawings.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines according to job specifications and welding procedures.
- Adjust valves, gauges, and flames as needed and be capable of handling compressed gas and oxygen cylinders safely.
- Operate air arc gouger, grinder, and other industry machines, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications
- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Requirements
- Able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have all required tools
- Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
