Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Structural Welders to join a growing fabrication team in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for welding and assembling structural steel components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has structural welding experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to consistently produce quality welds that meet company and customer specifications.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of structural welding experience required
Experience performing MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Ability to successfully complete the required weld tests
Fitting experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on structural steel components
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding specifications
Assemble, fit, and weld structural components according to engineering requirements
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy
Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality standards
Operate welding equipment and fabrication tools safely and effectively
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and production requirements
Perform additional fabrication and welding duties as assigned
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
2G MIG Horizontal Weld Test(Bend Test)
2G Flux Core Weld Test(Radiograph)
-inch Plate Double Bevel with Backing Bar
Preferred Qualifications
Previous structural steel fabrication experience
Fitting and layout experience
Experience working in heavy industrial manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of structural welding procedures and fabrication practices
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely work around welding equipment, heavy steel, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment
Work Environment
Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
Exposure to welding equipment, heavy steel materials, fabrication machinery, heat, sparks, and industrial noise
