Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Structural Welders for projects located in and around Tipton, IA. This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $27/hour based on experience plus $100/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Perform MIG welding using 1/16” metal core wire
Fit and prep structural steel from blueprints prior to welding
Read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and perform shop math
Ensure welds meet D1.1 code compliance and quality standards
Work efficiently in a high-output structural steel shop environment
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of welding experience in the field
Previous D1.1 certification (must provide proof)
Must pass onsite D1.1 weld test (administered 1st shift before starting 2nd shift)
Proficient in blueprint reading, measuring, and shop math
Strong fitting/layout skills from blueprints
