ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a nationally recognized Am Law firm with one of the Southeast's premier Financial Services practices. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience in structured finance and securitization who is looking to work on sophisticated transactions for leading financial institutions, lenders, issuers, underwriters, and investors.
You'll advise clients on complex financing structures, warehouse lending facilities, asset-backed securitizations, and other high-value financial transactions while collaborating with highly respected attorneys across corporate, finance, and regulatory practices. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Structure, negotiate, and document structured finance and securitization transactions.
- Represent financial institutions, issuers, lenders, investors, and underwriters in complex financing transactions.
- Advise clients on warehouse lending facilities and term financing arrangements.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents, credit agreements, and financing-related contracts.
- Analyze regulatory and compliance considerations impacting financial transactions.
- Collaborate with corporate, finance, tax, and regulatory attorneys on multi-party transactions.
- Support related mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance matters as needed.
- Build trusted client relationships while managing multiple sophisticated matters.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- 3-4+ years of structured finance, securitization, or financial services transactional experience.
- Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated financing documents.
- Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
- Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission.
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Graduate of a Top 50 U.S. law school.
- Experience at an Am Law 200 firm.
- Attorneys from highly regarded regional firms handling sophisticated transactional matters are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with asset-backed securitizations, warehouse lending, or structured lending facilities.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Financial institutions or capital markets experience.
