As a Bridge Engineer, you will design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges.What are the core responsibilities for the role?Design, evaluate, and analyze highway/railroad/pedestrian bridges/other transportation structuresPrepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specificationsWork in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies and state DOTsPerform or check bridge designs using CSi Bridge, MIDAS, VBent, PG Super, LEAP, BRASS, Mathcad, and/or other bridge softwareDesign or check retaining wall and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projectsAssist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineeringQualifications, Skills, and Competencies:B.S. degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered PE license4 to 8 years of experienceWillingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required-- Experience working in bridge design teams a plusDesign Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plusSolid understanding of transportation projectsWhy would a candidate want this job?At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
